Creative Equals is an agency that champions diversity, equality and inclusion in the creative space. Their #CreativeComeback programme is an initiative to help women get back into the creative industry after an extended career break.
The programme seeks to address the issue that only 12-16% of creative directors are women, mainly because the time when creatives are stepping up to leadership roles, many women have to step-away from their job and find it difficult to return.
48 women were invited to take part in a 2-week initiative held at the beginning of March to coincide with International Women’s Day. The aim of the programme was to get 24 women back into paid work opportunities at one of the 30 creative agencies that sponsored the programme, alongside Diageo and Facebook.
