THE ANSWER: A road trip to Nepal with world-renowned mountaineer and author Matt Walker. We helped him adapt his ‘Five Elements of Adventure’ - a simple formula that applies the principles of adventure to the challenges of our everyday lives - for four game contest winners, and planned an entire trip around activities that could encapsulate these principles. Those on camera and behind it took on the physical demands of river rafting, downhill cycling, climbing, and falling! All resulting in a gorgeous film that inspires anyone who watches it to go on an adventure... hopefully, in an X-Trail.
An exclusive cut-down of the documentary premiered on the big screen at Piccadilly as part of the Adventure Film Festival, and was broadcasted on the Eurosport 2 channel over three days.
THE RESULTS: The campaign generated over 2.9 million views of the documentary trailer, 6+ million social impressions, and 581,000 engagements, as well as a huge spike in traffic to the Nissan brand hub. There was also organic pan-European PR coverage across a number of key adventure & lifestyle titles. And, we foxes became just a little braver for the experience - as if we weren't adventurous enough already!
